Tiffin Services In India ( MUMBAI )

Dabbawalas in Mumbai and these tiffin services have been so essential for us. Making our dabbas reach on time and getting the best perfect home-cooked food, these tiffin services have nailed it.

Covid has bought us to another phase of lockdown and we are back again with no cooks/helper.

COPPER CHIMNEY

Bigfatbite was recently at Copper Chimney and guess what? I had an amazing time there.

a huge place which can easily accommodate around 50-60 diners at a time!

copper chimney is basically known for its legendary food since they are in this industry for quite a long time.

they have been making their customers happy by serving lip-smacking food and making this world a better place to live :p

AMBIENCE :

The ambience is totally like a fine dine place. a well-lighted place with both sofa and chair sitting. Copper Chimney is a place where you’ll find more foreigners than Indians.  Copper Chimney has its own old customers and they are constantly trying to continue their legacy of serving top-notch food. The ambience is average but a great quiet place to enjoy North Indian Food!

SERVICE :

All the Attendants were much known to the dishes they were serving and The service was quick too.

KUDOS TO THE AMAZING TEAM OF COPPER CHIMNEY!

KALA KHATTA MARGARITA @copperchimney_in
Tequila, Kala Khatta Syrup and Chaat Masala!
I think this is one of the most awesome combinations when one wants to have kala khatta and tequila at the same time.
I totally felt like i am having Gola and getting high on vodka🤤🤤
The drink looks a bit deceiving in other pictures but here is the actual snap of how it looks like 👀
This is my personal favourite from @copperchimney_in

ACHARI WHISKEY @copperchimney_in
Is this possible? Is this for real? Is this really available? Is this consumable?
Yes, these were the same questions that came to my mind when I saw this drink. 😳
But, calm down you all!! This cocktail is for real and can be consumed.
A mix of Whiskey, Aam ka achar and Ginger Ale.
So, I like my Whiskey not just with three ice but with aam ka achar now🤤😉

Yes, this Cooper Kadak Roomali Roti is almost half a century old now!
Who knew that this simple form of roti can become such a great appetizer. This Roomali Roti is layered with Chilli Butter and Finely chopped onions and tomatoes.
If you are one of their special customers, you might just get this as complimentary too🤪

VEGETARIAN PLATTER

This platter was heavenly!

the platter consisted about 6 varieties i.e :

  • Makai Malai Kebab
  • Hara Paneer Tikka
  • Aloo Chutneywala
  • Achari Mushroom
  • Bhuna Lasooni Paneer
  • Paneer Tikka

so basically it consisted about 3 types of paneer which tasted heavenly! Bhuna Lasooni Paneer Tikka is one of my favorite from copper chimney! it had the blended taste of garlic and it was perfectly marinated into it. my next favourite is Achari Mushroom which was super spicy and full of Indian flavours.

VARITIES OF CHICKEN STARTER

The variety consisted of 3 types of starters :

  • Bhatti Chicken
  • Murgh Malai Kebab
  • Achari Chicke Tikka

the main concern when we eat chicken is about its freshness! it was so fresh and juicy that it literally melted in my mouth! the quantity that you see in the picture is not the exact quantity! this was just given for tasting purpose as I was pretty sure about not finishing the whole thing  :p the taste of it was super amazing and too tasty!

MAINS

954E573C-3DC6-470E-B932-4CBC9FB34FCF

In mains, we ordered for two vegetables, one daal and a basket of roti which included garlic naan, kulcha, and their special copper chimney roti.

the sabzis we ordered were :

  • Malai Kofta
  • Vegetable Jalfrezi
  • Paneer Tikka
  • Dal Makhni

It was a grandeur show of exotic and authentic food!

all the vegetables were fresh, crispy and well cooked. the only thing I found it a bit wrong is their taste of Dal Makhni. when we hear Dal Makhni all we conclude is that it’ll have a lot of butter! but shockingly it lacked the taste of butter.

DESERTS

IMG-7016.JPG

I am a sucker for Indian desserts like rabdi, kheer, jalebi, etc!

here at Copper Chimnney, I tried out there amazing Hyderabdi Dessert called as Muzzafar.

-MUZZAFAR @copperchimney_in
Rich, thick Rabdi, topped with golden roasted vermicelli aka ( Sevaiya )
This dessert brings out a really rich taste of Lucknowie based dessert.
Out of the whole menu, i decided to go with this and I think I made just the right selection! 🤤
This place is indeed a great spot for all the tourists to have a proper blend of our Indian Spices 🌶

Budget –Rs.250

GO(A)WESOME

Goa is not only about weed, smoke, alcohol or parties but it is also about a good leisure time with friends or family! To our recent visit to goa, we explored some great places which were amazingly awesome and were family friendly too. Here are some must visit clubs, cafes and sightseeing that one shouldn’t miss it out.

CLUBS

38d674bda13228cf77bf9f0a5b20a08b89a35a6aeb4ec0d0276bcb9cf0740584

  • SINQ

Be it any club of Goa, all clubs are just the same in terms of crowd, food and space. SINQ is one of the best clubs to avoid the cheap crowd, bad food, people puking around and also to great offers. This place offers its visitors with spacious surroundings and dance floor to party. The outdoor decks wrapped in white cabanas, water pool, bar, etc. are some of the highlights of the place. This place is definitely nothing less than a heaven for all the party lovers.  On our recent trip to goa, we literally didn’t find any club better than SINQ. Decent food, great crowd and amazing ambience. When in goa be sure to visit SINQ for good music and a good time. Clubs like Titos and Liliput has completely lost its standards and are really degraded now.

BEACHSIDE CAFES

  • Eva’s Café

when someone asks me, what is the thing you love the most, I always answer it by saying ‘beaches’ the sound of the waves, a smoothie and some great European food. This totally sums up my whole of the goa trip. the best part about these cafes is that you get to feel every bit of the beach without even allowing your feet to get wet and all dirty. Yes, it is an amazing feeling to play with the waves but sometimes it’s just the mood that asks me to sit back, relax and just listen to the waves. This café is totally your breakfast goals and one of the best cafes you should visit when in Goa. On Entering I was really astounded by looking at such an airy, well decorated and a ‘Proper’ beach facing café. We ordered for a Shakshuka a Tunisian dish of poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce with chilli peppers and onions. Next, we called was for a Margarita sandwich was AAAAMMMAAZZIINNGGG. In smoothies, we called for a tropical smoothie which had orange and mango and the other one was a healthy one i.e with muesli and banana. We were so content with all this that we finally made a move when sun also started showing off its hotness :/

  • Olives

A place where one can kick off their heels and roam around in flip-flops. Yes, as you enter they allow you to leave your heels outside and wear blue flip-flops provided by them. Olives will give completely give you a feel of Bali. Everything there looked so fresh, so white and so beautiful. The blue and white themed olive looked totally like Santorini. This café is a beach facing café of Vagator. Compared to the other beaches, Vagator is one of the cleanest! Talking about Vagator, it doesn’t really have any water sports but a great sunset point. Olive café is the best sunset point in Goa I will ever recommend to someone. Talking about the food: being only a chicken eater and not a seafood eater, we didn’t really enjoy the vegetarian menu and everything else was just too basic! Nevertheless, here every nook in this place is picture worthy and I promise you about the fun you’ll have at this place.

SIGHTSEEING

1546541102787.jpg

  • Our lady of Immaculate Conception

A classy church, completely white in colour with a series of crisscrossing steps that lead you to the prayer hall and massive bells on its rooftop. Yes, this is that place where several movies are shot including Simba. This church is one of the oldest chapels in Goa.

1939f6f19fe961ef57eef9c99cdbe323

  • Fort Aguada

Construction of the fort was undertaken by the Portuguese in the year 1609 for the purpose of keeping an eye on the movements through the waters and the nearby areas and the structure was finally complete after 3. Since then, precisely for over more than 400 years, the fort has stood strong (although some parts of it have been ruined) and its magnificence remains intact.
The location where the fort was constructed was of strategic importance to the empire and provided it with a great defence base. A very main reason to visit this fort is because this fort has the best sunset point and also a very famous tourist point and the other reason is the lighthouse.there is a prison house in the fort which is one of the largest jails in goa where accused of crimes such as narcotics abuse, drugs sale and trafficking are lodged in. It is closed for public visits.

154654044526715465405012201546540546276

  • Anjuna Market

This market is really exciting to visit and really huge. But the sad part is, you can not really find anything different, whatever you find here is nothing really exceptional from what we get in Mumbai. The only thing I loved about this market was the jewellery. It had a huge collection of artificial as well as real jewellery.

1546540670663.JPEG

  • Dear Zindagi?

We all have watched this famous movie: Dear Zindagi starring Aliaa Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan. This is that or a similar famous street showed in the movie where both the actors goes for a cycle ride on a narrow street which has coconut trees on both the side of the streets. The location can be said as ‘Parra Road’

15465411430371546541178213

  • Fontainahs

Goa is a lot more than parties, beaches and drinks! Goa is also about colourful buildings and beautiful streets. a little blend of Indian and Portuguese makes Panjims this area a colourful place. The structure of the house was so similar to the drawings we all used to make as kids, typically with those sloppy roofs and stick figures. I  always wanted to get my pictures clicked with those colourful buildings. Probably this is one of my dreams come true.

These are the places that one should visit and one shouldn’t! hope this guides you well and gives you great leisure time. I would really recommend that one should really skip all these partying spots and explore the nooks and corners of Goa.

FARZIFIED!

IMG_2955.JPG

So BigFatBite recently visited Farzi Cafe and we were honestly ‘Farzified’

Let’s see what they’ve got for us in their menu!

  • SALADS

IMG_2540.jpeg

  1. ALOO BUKHARA KALE SALAD
Farzi has never disappointed us when it comes to Mixology and gastronomy. This Aloo Bukhara Salad is something you should try when you visit here.
Aloo Bukhara is commonly known as ‘Plum’ .This salad is made of cranberry puree, Goat Cheese, pomegranates and served with Lavash.
The sweet taste bought by cranberry and sourness given by goat cheese is completely splendid. People who love Kale would definitely want to have this.
    Budget💰- ₹345
  • APPETISERS

1521550497101.jpeg

  1. DAL CHAWAL ARANCINI, ACHAR PAPAD CHUTNEY
At @farzicafe even daily’s dal chawal sounds and tastes interesting because everything here is about mixology and modernism. Farzi Cafe’s concept makes you go from ‘Oh!’ to ‘Oh My God!’ So about this dish, these Arancini balls find their roots in the Italian cuisine. So instead of expecting meat or rice filling in them, you’ll find our usual dal-chawal in them topped with chutney and served with papad rolls and mango pickled mayo alongside. Further to tell you, the Mayo comes with a base of Salsa sauce to retain its originality!
Price💰- ₹395 ( Depends on the pieces you order for)
    Rating⭐️- 5/5                                                                                                                                                           1522679975107.jpg
  2. MATKA CHOLLE WITH LUCCHI PUFF
This is typically one of those street style chole you’ll love to have your hands on!
Here at farzi, they are served with 4 pieces of Lucchi Puff.
    Budget💰-₹435
  • COCKTAILS

15217350463241522679868149

  1. GUN POINT
The Gun Point Drink at @farzicafe is amongst their signature drinks.
This drink is named after its cutlery i.e the way it is presented is in a gun type of cutlery.
It gives you a feeling of drinking up the whole thing at once as someone has held you at Gun-point!
    Yes, it’s that tasty! 🤤
Sambuca is one of the ingredients in the drink that makes it very interesting and freshening to have this at one go. Talking about its making, Farzi’s In-house made Passion Fruit Puree and Pineapple juice brings out more summery kinda taste and feel in it 🔆
We also tried their another cocktail i.e ‘ Joy Rider’ this is made of Vodka, Vanilla Syrup with a coffee like taste in it and Agave Nectar which gives a frothy like texture to the drink.
    Budget💰- ₹575
  • MAINS

15218299686081522679939708

  1. CHAR GRILLED VEGETABLES WITH PHUKHTAAN CURRY AND ROASTED CASHEWS
Char-grilled vegetables are those which are cooked on a high flaming coal till they slightly burn or turns black. This was served with jeera and chili paratha.
The curry and the Paratha served was unfortunately a bit let-down in terms of taste.
    Budget💰- ₹465
  • DESSERTS

1522392937828.jpeg

  1. FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE BAR WITH TUTTY FRUITY ICE CREAM AND FRUIT PEARLS 🍇
Farzi never fails to surprise any of us! Well, this dish was totally about concoctions, ideas and mixology.
This desert is so eye pleasing and appealing. As soon as you see this dish you will want to have it. The nutty flourless chocolate bar with in-house made tutty fruity served with small scooped pearls of fresh fruit.
    MUST TRY!
    Budget💰- ₹360                                                                                                                                           15226828652611522682945811
  2. FENNI NEST WITH CHENNA BALLS AND FLAVOURED MILK.
The other scrumptious desert which we tried was the Fenni Nest.
This dish is basically is in the form of a ‘Nest’ and is topped with one ‘chenna Ball’ which looks like an egg! Interesting right? Well, it’s not only interesting but really satisfies your sweet tooth!
    Budget💰-₹360
  3. In Appetisers we further tried dishes ie :
    Mushroom Risotto – 5/5
•Ratatouille Gujua with imli chili chutney- 3/5
•Mini Raj Kachori, Crispy Okra Salad with Foam Chutney- 5/5
    •Tandoori Margarita Kulcha- 3/5

Talking about its all over presentation, the place has a really impressive staff and the best concoction of food you can ever find!
Be it Farzi or any other eatery owned by Jiggs Kalra, they are made to stand out and are incomparable. They perfectly define the meaning of ‘gastronomy’ and ‘mixology’

1tablespoon Pizza Kitchen= 1tablespoon Love.

IMG_8132

The ‘Pizza By The Slice’ is one of the most amazing concepts for all the pizza lovers here! so, BigFatBite was lately on a visit to 1tablespoon Pizza Kitchen to review and taste their new flavours of pizza, pastas, ice creams and much more!

here, at 1tablespoon pizza kitchen, they serve two types of crust :

  • Artisan Crust
  • Italian Crust

the concept is not new but very different from what our daily Sbarro serves! great range of flavours and a great size of meal i.e nothing but your 11′ large slice!

AMBIENCE:

The interiors are minimal with adequate sitting arrangements and a place for having quick bites on the go! here you also have a live kitchen where you can see your pizza being designed by the lovely artists(chefs) here. A small, tidy place to have a great time with friends.

We tried 4 different flavours of pizzas,Pasta and 2 beverages which were:

  • Bianca
  • Fiamma
  • Blowing Fire
  • Basilico E Rucola
  • Penne Al Arrabbiata
  • Raspberry Iced Tea
  • Lemon Iced Tea

the beverages were really average and one can totally opt to go for a normal coke or a other aerated drinks.

1511766086488.jpg

  • Bianca

A complete different flavour where in you have onion cream cheese, Mushrooms and Sun Dried Tomatoes. We basically called for this flavour to experience the taste of onion cream cheese in the pizza! Sadly, the content of Onion Cream cheese was super less and could not be felt at all.

Rating- 2/5

1511766122322.jpg

  • Fiamma

We ordered every pizza for a reason! the reason here was to try out the different ingredients and flavours. But, certainly this also did not stand up to our expectations. The onions in the pizza were meant to be crispy which they weren’t at all. rest, the amount of chillies, and chillie flakes were totally apt according to the description given in the menu.

BigTip- the onions could have been caramelised or tossed to make them go according to the description and make it blend with the pizza.

  • Blowing Fire

A perfect combination of all vegetables in a Pizza! not all exactly but they are all what i personally need in a pizza. Capsicums, Onions, Jalapenos, Paneer and Mushrooms.

  • Basilico e Rucola

This Pizza was the apt blend of minimal flavours but a much affective one! sometimes you really crave for a plain Pizza with no vegetables but definitely not a Margherita and that is when you need to have this one! Sliced Garlic, Fresh Basil and Arugula.

Rating- 3.5/5

1511766421836.jpg

  • Penne Al Arrabbiata

A very popular Italian pasta tossed in tangy slow cooked tomato sauce and certainly always a favourite! The pasta lacked a very basic spice i.e Salt and the sourness you definitely need in a Arrabbiata pasta. The garlic bread was ‘very much’ on point and really different than what we have in other pizzerias.

Rating- 4/5

We Further tried their Gourmet Ice-creams which were inspired from the flavours of Italy!

1511766195501.jpg

  • Nocciola ( Hazelnut)

Nocciola means hazelnut in Italian.  The ice cream had the pure taste of hazelnut in it and also wasn’t regular like other ice creams. This new flavour was too pleasing until we felt some powdery texture in it 😦

Rating- 3.5/5

Final Verdict :

1tablespoon Pizza Kitchen is a must visit eatery to try out their veg as well as non vegetarian pizzas. They certainly have the wide range of pizzas in the town. There were some flaws and mistakes but we are sure to have it changed over a period of time.

Where’s My Cone? Here is your Answer!

1510995152216

So, recently Bigfatbite had its  visit at this cute little outlet “Where’s my cone?” which is by the two young adults – Sharan Goyal and Armaan Malhotra. here the flavours are something really divergent and something you must have not thought about. From basic Mango to something really different like Boondi Ladoo.

1511005794659.jpg

Must be wondering why this name right?

well these two young-bees wanted to divert the whole conurbations thinking from a cone to the concept of ice cream sandwiches and tub ice creams. But, do not worry! they do have a waffle cone in case you want/like to pair your scoop with some crunchiness!

here, each ice cream lover has something for them! every flavour, every different choice and every different possible concoction. This quirky little place is a perfect one to try out some great quirky flavours.

What does this remind you of? 🤔

The game of seven stones right?

Haha, this is just a photograph of these scrumptious cookie- ice cream sandwich.

These eye-pleasing, mouthwatering cookie sandwiches are from nowhere else but from ‘ @wheresmycone ‘

The cookies and ice creams are both inhouse made.

Cookies are paired according to the taste of ice cream. That is :

  • (Top) Boondi Ice cream with choco Chip Cookie. 🍪
  • (Mid) Roasted Almond Butter Crunch with White Chocolate Almond Cookie.🍪
  •  (Bottom) Pan with Malted Milk Cookie.🍪

1510993598133

  • BOONDI ICE CREAM WITH CHOCO CHIP COOKIE

this was literally like a cultural shock to me! BOONDI ice cream? seriously? this flavour was the best part at “where’s my cone?” the ice cream was perfectly paired with these amazing crispy in house made cookies. the cookies were super tasty that you literally crave to take some at home 😛

1510993635634

  • ROASTED ALMOND BUTTER CRUNCH WITH WHITE CHOCOLATE ALMOND COOKIE

In every bite, the crunchiness of almonds and the buttery taste could be felt! this sandwich was just so filling! the buttery taste of the cookie and the ice cream was super delicious and mesmerizing.

1510993503430

  • PAN WITH MALTED MILK COOKIE

The minty essence that you get after every bite is just heavenly! malted milk cookie? yes you heard it right! Malted milk powder baked into a cookie creates a deep flavour and essence. The bits of paan felt on the bud were dazzling enough to make you go ‘WOW’

The flavours of the ice creams were so on point and apt! Must try! ♥️

  •  WILD MUSHROOM CRYSTAL DUMPLINGS

These cute little soft dumplings are nothing but our favourite- Mushrooms  These small balls of happiness is made out of 3 types of mushrooms, namely :

  • Shittake
  • Button
  • Semangi with truffle paste.

The dumplings had a good texture but were really sticky and oily 😦 The concoction of 3 mushrooms went really well and made it scrumptious

BIGtip-it could have been more tastier if it had some complete divergent dip!

  •  PUMPKIN DUMPLINGS

The pumpkin dumplings had some really different ingredients in it! The dumplings consisted of 2 types of fungus, i.e, Black Fungus and White fungus. Here they aren’t used to bring out any taste or flavour. These ingredients are only used to bring out the texture in a dish. They give a crunchy texture and generally are tasteless. Further, the dumplings had really minced pumpkin and carrots.

BIGtip– the dumplings were quite oily and sticky. They tasted really sweet and didn’t have that flavour which was expected.

  • ONION PANCAKE

These triangular cut cheesy pancakes Are Chewy, flaky, and savory scallion pancakes and one of my very favorite Chinese restaurant treats. This pan-fried bread has a lot in common with Indian parathas and other simple flatbreads These little pancakes are filled with lots of cheese, onions and scallions. This was served with coriander sauce which looked really complicated but was actually really simple in taste and ingredients.

MUST TRY!

  • The main course at Royal China was really the best. The RC exotic Vegetables and Hong- Kong noodles are definitely worth trying. Talking about the Sauted French beans in Garlic, they were really bland and no flavour could be felt. :(Rest, the whole meal, from the start to the end was really enjoyable and scrumptious
  • Deserts

In deserts, we tried the HONEY WALNUT PIE

GASTRONOMIC WEEK AT KODE- FREESTYLE BAR AND KITCHEN

island bar at kode

Molecular Gastronomy would not have been possible without this amazing gem behind it. Yes, here I am definitely talking about the king of  “Massive Group of Restaurants”- Mr. Jiggs Kalra. The man behind every new and innovative place like PAPAYA, MASALA LIBRARY, MADE IN PUNJAB, FARZI CAFE AND KODE.

Bigfatbite was recently at Kalra’s new innovation i.e KODE.  KODE is a freestyle bar and kitchen at the Oasis City in Kamala Mills where dining experience is taken to some other level. The noshes served at kode are really agnostic. You never know what is going to be served next!

Kode is basically known for its Liquid chefs and the splendid food and service. Here, Kalra and his team promise their customers to deliver the best authenticity they expect!

ambience of kode

AMBIENCE

You would never come across such an elegant decor and an island bar as beautiful as this! The classy elegant interior made of rocks and natural stones are adorned all over the restaurant. They also have an open kitchen where you can see the chefs preparing your next meal!

let’s check out some freestyle drinks and noshes which are created with zero depiction of a particular flavor, region, and cuisine.

CHEFS AT KODEteam of kode

SERVICE :

All the Attendants were much known to the dishes they were serving and The service was quick too.

KUDOS TO THE AMAZING TEAM OF KODE!

MOCKTAILS

strawberry and mango mocktail cocktail

  • STRAWBERRY AND MANGO MOCKTAIL

This sounded really basic but had a really divergent tinge in it.

SALADS

  •  KALE AND PINE NUT SALAD
Kale, one of the best ingredients one can have in a salad!
A very relishing and different salad which had kale and Pine nuts in it. It looked really simple but, each ingredient in it was important to bring out the flavor needed.
    – The pomegranate and grapes bought the sweetness
    – nuts got that perfect crunchiness in the salad
    – The main, Yuzu Sauce bought the tanginess( Citrus flavour)
    – Last but not the least, the shredding of Parmesan Cheese bought the eagerness to eat and gulp down the whole salad at once. This Salad can actually be counted as one of the healthiest, fresh and Juicy salad.

COCKTAILS

pearl 0f carribean

  • PEARL OF CARIBBEAN

A rum based cocktail with the tinge of pineapple juice, fresh basil, and sourness of mogo tea.
KODE has a wide range of old fashioned drinks with a proper dramatic scene! In spite of all the show and creativity, Kalra still manages to bring out the flavors with his techniques.
– The main attraction was the sphere of ice in the drink and the slushy red wine.
– The sphere almost looked like a sun made of mogo tea bringing out a bitter taste.
– The reason behind the name of this drink is that Rum has originated for the Caribbean.

Budget- Drinks ranging from ₹400-₹700

forgotten petal sour. campari and gin

  • FORGOTTEN PETAL SOUR

Forgotten Petal Sour is one of the signature cocktails served at kode.  kode is the first one to create a freestyle 3-course cocktail wherein the first one acts like a starter, the second one is the main course and the third one is the desert. weird? but, interesting right? the soap like structure with lather is Campari and champagne which is given as an aperitif. the concept of this was to help you clear your pallets. Second, came the main dish which was a gin based cocktail with grapey, fruity and a bitter taste. then comes the candy floss which resembles as  “Kuch meetcha ho Jaye after the meal.

This three-course drink was really relishing and appetizing that it still makes me think about it

  •  CRUNCHY ASPARAGUS SUSHI

Not really a big fan of Sushi’s

MAINS

shittake noodles

  • SEASONAL GREEN AND FUNGUS

This dish was the classic dish of all! in real as well, this is the classic of Japanese’s in a European style. The stick of lemon grass in the bowl of noodles and the pouring of coconut milk cream had a great relation in bringing out the needed flavor in the dish. As the coconut cream was poured, the lemon grass stick was used as a stirrer to bring out the flavor of lemon grass in the dish. The juicy Shittake mushroom aka fungus was perfectly chewable and fresh.

.potato gnocchi

  • POTATO GNOCCHI WITH ROASTED PUMPKIN

Gnocchi’s are basically small and soft dough dumplings made of wheat, potato or such similar ingredients.
It is served with Roasted Pumpkin sauce, bell peppers and snow peas.
BIGtip- When it comes to food, we all expect it to be pocket friendly as well cravings filling. This dish was apparently not apt in its quantity 😦 even the taste of Pumpkin sauce was kind of bland :

DESERTS

The deconstructed Black Forest with maraschino cherries.

  • DECONSTRUCTED BLACK FOREST CAKE WITH MARASCHINO CHERRIES

These small brown shaped bricks gateaux were stuffed with maraschino cherries and topped with a gold plated dark chocolate chips.
This whole idea of a deconstructed black forest was to present the cake in a deconstructed way and place each ingredient on the dish.
– At the centre, the crumbled black cake is topped with a cherry.
– The sides are filled with strawberry cream which clearly depicts the cream which is usually there in the black forest cake.
This was a complete dramatic and the show stopper! A visual sensational treat of the most loved nosh at the end
BIGtip- The taste of the strawberry cream was not apt! It tasted really bland!

This sinful combination of Chocolate, Cocoa powder and coffee was a completely different experience. The strong flavor of coffee was aptly blended to make it a perfect Tiramisu. The in-house made sponge cake was too soft and perfectly baked. Each bite of it had a strong flavor of chocolate. At the top of the tiramisu, a flat chip is nothing but coffee beans shaped coffee crisp. SHOCKING!

  1. SAMBAL BABY POTATO

These tiny balls of happiness are nothing but baby potatoes sauteed in hot Sambal sauce which is made with a variety of Peppers. The sour, tangy taste of sugar and lemon had made it more enhancing.

Nachos has always been a good ideas to start of with your meal. This different new concept of Saffron with Nachos is something one should really try. A beautiful concept but missed at making eye pleasing 😦

5.RENDANG COTTAGE CHEESE

A Thai flavoured Cottage Cheese mixed aptly with Thai Chili and Coconut Essence. As the name suggests, Rendang is a spicy dish originated from Indonesia. A perfect concoction of sweet, sour and spicy flavours could be felt on the buds.  Keeping the savour of the dish aside, the quantity and presentation of the dish were really saddening.

BIGtip: Serving Salad with a starter is the best thing but, only if the Salad is not left raw and is sauteed well. Raw salad tends to be not eaten by us and hence it goes waste.,

Budget: Rs.280/-
